Taking a break from healthy eating, I'd like to talk about a crowd pleaser! Poutine is a delicious "comfort food" type dish from Québec.
The basic ingredients are fries, cheese curd and gravy. I was told by a native Quebecoise that the cheese curd needs to be squeaky to be authentic. I was later told by a Quebecois that the best gravy is from St-Hubert, a restaurant chain in Québec.
If you're up for adventure, you can add bacon, lobster, ham, chicken, and so many other toppings. Take a look at this link that shows a wide variety of poutine.
I prefer a basic poutine or one topped with bacon.
