Shaving Cream Explosion

I'm not sure what happened here. 

I went to turn on the water in the shower and realized that the corner of the tub was covered in shaving cream. 

I'm not sure how this happened. 

I looked at the bottom of the can of shaving cream hoping to see an obvious cause. 

I'm not sure when this happened. 

The can is now empty when it had been half full. It was fine yesterday morning when I showered. This morning the tables turned. 

I'm not sure why this happened. 

Upon closer inspection, my husband was able to sleuth until he reached an explanation. There is a slight hole in the bottom rim of the can. It was so slight that it was not very visible to the naked eye. 

Good thing I have a stash of shaving cream, like so many items I've gathered from couponing. 

An Office With A View

Doesn't that sound nice?

Instead of a corner office or one with a view, I have a cubicle that I share with a wonderful coworker. I could not ask for a nicer person to share space with at work. 

Since I do not have a view, I add things to my space to inspire me. I like my environment to be colorful (this is not a prerequisite to marrying an African, but it helps!)

Cheetos with a Fork?

Yep I do this. I don't know how this habit got started. I remember doing this as a teenager though.

Why? Simple! I don't like my fingers getting orange. That's the only answer I have to this eating craze of mine. First world problems. 

Anytime I have eaten this way, people act very concerned, unnerved even. I can see the wheels turning as they assess my mental stability. It's almost amusing. 

There's a science method to it actually. Metal forks break Cheetos and the. You're left with crumbs. Plastic forks are flexible enough that the Cheeto fits between the tines. It takes practice but I'm not sure I'd go as far as calling it skill. 

Tarnished Silver

Have you ever looked in your jewelry box and found what you want to wear but it was tarnished? Me, too. Then I have to choose something else even though I was looking for that one piece of jewelry.

I finally had enough of this and decided to take care of these tarnished pieces. 

Here's what is needed: 

• Glass pan
• Aluminum foil
• Baking soda
• Hot water

Lightly tarnished items can sit in this solution for anywhere from a few minutes to 1 hour. Heavily tarnished items might need several hours in this solution or new solution.

PSL: My Guilty Pleasure

Yesterday, was National Coffee Day and October 1 is International Coffee Day. In celebration of both, let's have some coffee talk.

One of the signs of Fall is all the pumpkin flavored items. I love pumpkin anything.

Growing up in the northern part of the US, it is easy to adapt to Fall because there is a clear change in the air, trees, and atmosphere.

Living in Florida is not the same scenario. My first year in Florida had me confused year round and I was unable to distinguish one season from another. When pumpkin flavors started to appear, I was discombobulated and not willing to accept that it was Fall when it was 90º.

I am slowly adapting to Fall in Florida as I am no longer a rookie. When Starbucks announced the ubiquitous Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) was back, I was ready for it.  Even though I am adulting and trying to eat clean, I have to indulge in tasty things sometimes. I am allowing myself a PSL this Fall.

Starbucks makes it easy to order even. I can order it on my app and boom, it's ready when I arrive. I got the printed label of my name spelled correctly and everything!
