Charity Events

There are so many people in need home and abroad. There are so many creative ways to raise funds.

Anyway, I have a friend who goes to cosmetology school nights while working full time during the day. She is very talented but needs credentials. Her school was having a fundraiser called "Shear Madness" in effort to raise funds for hunger relief locally through an organization called The Children's Hunger Project.

Free haircuts, manicures and / or pedicures. The suggested donation was $10 but anything less or more was welcome. 

Creative way to entice people to give to a good cause. Both parties benefit. 

I benefited from this fundraiser by getting a haircut by my fabulous friend.

There is still so much need, though.
